POCCard or V1CE: what to compare

V1CE is compared for the object in the hand: metal, weight, finish. If the card is part of how you present yourself, that matters. It is also the part that says least about what the card does.

What this page does not do: it does not tell you what V1CE costs, what its plans include or what it cannot do. Those change without notice and we do not track them, so publishing them here would be publishing something we cannot stand behind. Check them on V1CE’s own site. Everything said below about POCCard is in our product today.

A heavier card is a better handshake and the same address. Before you pay for the finish, check the two things the finish cannot fix: whether the person can save you without installing anything, and whether you end the meeting with their details or only they end it with yours.

What you wantWhat to check on their sidePOCCard
They save you to their phoneDoes it need their app, or does the phone book open on its own?One tap: the contact file opens in the phone book, photo included. Nothing to install on either phone.

Paper cards you are handedIs there anything that reads them?A scanner reads name, company, role, e-mail, phone, website and address. 20 a month on Personal, 500 on Company.
The language of your cardHow many, and does the whole account change with it?Four: English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, account and card.
When you stop payingWhat happens to the card already printed and handed out?It keeps your name and a way to call you. It never becomes a dead link.

Questions people ask before buying.

Is POCCard cheaper than V1CE?

We will not answer that here: their prices change and we do not track them. POCCard is $29 a year or $129 once, with 30 days to get your money back. Compare it against what their site says today.

Can I move from V1CE to POCCard?

There is no import. You fill in your card once — name, role, phones, links — and print or write a new NFC card. If you already have blank NFC tags, you can write them yourself from an Android phone.

Do my clients need an app?

No, and that is the part worth checking on any card you compare. Tapping or scanning a POCCard opens a web page, and saving the contact opens the phone book.
